  • Title / Position: graduate student
  • Organization: Temple University

My background is a little out of the ordinary, i worked in industry and completed my undergraduate studies while working. My BA is from PENN and I am currently a full-time grad student of Temple University's Department of Anthropology. My Dissertation Chair is Professor David Orr along with my Committee of Professors Hansell, Stewart, and Ranere.

I had the great fortune to train with total station equipment, aerial imagery, and regional survey as a guest of the University of Bolognia. My good fortune was assisted by participating in a PENN project in Oman under Dr. Greg Possehl, the first season was exploratory with Dr. Possehl considering future projects while I worked with Italian (Bolognia-Ravenna) and French students (CNRS). Professor Maurizio Tosi took an interest in my professional development and invited me to spend a summer in Italy where i moved from northern EBA sites located in the Alpine region, to the EBA site of Mursia, directed by Dr. Maruizio Cattani located on the Island of Pantelleria located between Tunisia and Sicily. My interests in military history and living in the Philadelphia area led me to pursue historical archaeology of the American Revolutionary War. Technology-wise, i have experience performing a variety of roles in fieldwork, from planning, accounting, site layout, and artifact processing. Also drawing, which i would describe as adequate. I can set up and use a total station, and feel at ease working with ArcMap and ArcInfo to the extent of my knowledge. My hope is to develop logic flow charts and data interpolation between the geo-spatial models and the artifacts.
